Acupuncture Points and Unexplained Infertility
Acupuncture has been used for over 3,000 years as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has attracted significant research attention in relation to fertility in recent years.
A peer reviewed meta-analysis published in the Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics analysing data from 25 trials involving 4,757 participants found that acupuncture significantly improved clinical pregnancy rates and live birth rates. The clinical pregnancy rate was 43.6% in the acupuncture group compared to 33.2% in the control group, and the live birth rate was 38.0% versus 28.7%.

A further 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis published in the International Journal of Nursing Studies analysing 39 trials involving 7,188 participants confirmed that acupuncture significantly improves clinical pregnancy rates and reproductive outcomes for women undergoing IVF compared with control groups.

Hypnotherapy and Unexplained Infertility
The relationship between stress, emotional wellbeing, and fertility is one of the most researched areas in reproductive medicine. Chronic stress activates the body's survival response which has a direct and well documented effect on the hormonal environment governing ovulation, sperm production, and uterine receptivity.

A landmark study published in Fertility and Sterility, the journal of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, found that the use of hypnosis during embryo transfer significantly improved IVF outcomes. The clinical pregnancy rate in the hypnosis group was 53.1% compared to 30.2% in the control group.

A 2023 peer reviewed paper published in the Arts and Humanities Open Access Journal concluded that hypnotherapy is a valuable complementary intervention in fertility support, helping individuals manage the emotional aspects of the fertility journey, reduce stress, and support overall mental and emotional wellbeing.

Kambo and Unexplained Infertility
Kambo is the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor, the Giant Monkey Tree Frog of the Amazon rainforest. It has been used for centuries as part of the traditional ceremonial practices of indigenous Amazonian tribes including the Matses, Katukina, and Mayoruna peoples.
The women of these tribes have long incorporated Kambo into their ceremonial practices around fertility and the welcoming of new life. This is a tradition that has existed for centuries within these communities.
Due to UK advertising regulations we are sadly unable to make specific claims about what Kambo does for unexplained infertility specifically. What we can share is that many of the clients who come to us navigating this experience describe feeling something shift that nothing else had reached. A sense of hope returning. A feeling of moving forward rather than standing still. A renewed connection with their body and their journey.

A Note on Working Alongside Conventional Treatment
Many of our clients continue to work with their GP, consultant, or fertility clinic alongside their programme with us. The two approaches are not in conflict. In fact many clients find that the work they do with us supports them in engaging more fully and positively with their conventional treatment.
