PCOS and Your Conception Journey
Conscious Conception & Fertility with Claire Anstey
If you have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and you are trying to conceive, you already know that the path can feel complicated, uncertain, and at times deeply discouraging.
You may have been told that your cycles are irregular, that your hormones are out of balance, that you may need medication or assisted reproduction. You may have been given a diagnosis and very little else. No real explanation of why. No clear path forward that feels right for you.
You are not alone. And you are not out of options.
Understanding PCOS
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is one of the most common hormonal conditions affecting people of reproductive age in the UK. It is estimated to affect around one in ten women, though many remain undiagnosed for years.
PCOS is characterised by hormonal imbalance, irregular or absent ovulation, and the presence of multiple small follicles on the ovaries. It is also closely associated with insulin resistance, inflammation, and elevated androgen levels.
The experience of PCOS is different for everyone. Some people have significant symptoms. Others have very few. Some find that conventional approaches work well. Others feel that despite doing everything they have been told, something is still missing.
PCOS does not mean you cannot conceive. Many people with PCOS go on to have healthy pregnancies. The journey may simply ask something different of you.
The Emotional Weight of PCOS and Fertility
A PCOS diagnosis on top of a fertility journey carries a particular kind of weight.
There is the frustration of irregular cycles and the difficulty of knowing when or whether you are ovulating. There is the grief of months that come and go without the outcome you are hoping for. There is the exhaustion of appointments, blood tests, scans, and advice that can feel contradictory or overwhelming.
And beneath all of that there is often something quieter. A fear that your body is working against you. A loss of trust in the very systems you are counting on most.
This is where the work we do goes deepest.
How We Work With Clients Navigating PCOS
Many of the clients who come to Conscious Conception & Fertility with Claire Anstey are navigating their conception journey alongside a PCOS diagnosis. They arrive having explored many paths — medication, dietary changes, acupuncture, IVF. Some are at the beginning of their journey. Some have been trying for years.
What brings them here is a sense that something deeper needs to shift. Something that no blood test or scan has been able to reach.
We offer two programmes that work at that level:
The Fertility Boost Programme Combining Kambo, an ancient Amazonian practice, with the IAKP Fertility Acupuncture Point Sequence — four sessions over 25 days, led personally by Claire from beginning to end. Available in person in Beckenham, Kent, and as home visits across London, Kent, Essex, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex.
Conscious Conception Fertility Hypnotherapy A four hour deeply personal session working with the subconscious mind, past lives, soul contracts, ancestral patterns, forgiveness, energetic clearing, and the spiritual dimensions of the conception journey. Available in person in Beckenham, Kent, and online worldwide.
Both programmes are available independently and many clients find them deeply complementary.
Due to UK advertising regulations we are sadly unable to make specific claims about what our programmes do for PCOS specifically. What we can share is that many of the clients who come to us navigating this condition describe feeling something shift that nothing else had reached. A sense of hope returning. A feeling of moving forward rather than standing still. A renewed connection with their body and their journey.
We invite you to read our client testimonials and make your own judgement.
A Note on Working Alongside Conventional Treatment
Many of our clients continue to work with their GP, consultant, or fertility clinic alongside their programme with us. The two approaches are not in conflict. In fact many clients find that the work they do with us supports them in engaging more fully and positively with their conventional treatment.
If you are currently on a medicated cycle or undergoing fertility investigations please let Claire know at the time of booking. She will advise on timing personally.
